Everyday wear and activity can take its toll on your jewelry. Regular inspections and cleanings help to protect it from loss while keeping it shining bright and beautiful.
When you bring your ring or jewelry in for cleaning, we automatically inspect the pieces for signs of wear. We'll check your settings to determine if the prongs need rebuilding, and check any stones to see if they need tightening. For rings, we also will evaluate the foundation for wear and thinning. When necessary we will provide recomendations and estimates to repair the pieces, which we can also take care of in house.
Once the inspection process of the pieces is complete we will take them into our repair shop for cleaning. First we'll gently buff most items on a polishing wheel to return the metal to its glorious shine. Then we will put it in an ultrasonic machine to remove any unwanted material from your pieces. To finish it off, we will place the item under hot steam to bring back its natural shine and glow. The best part is, the entire process is typically done while you wait, free of charge and entirely in house.
This complimentary inspection and cleaning can be done on pieces purchased at Baxter's as well as those bought elsewhere, or even inherited/gifed to you. Often times with jewelry, pieces are sentimental; we encourage you to bring in your favorite pieces for a preventative maintance inspection. We will check clasps, prongs, stones and more to ensure that you can have peace of mind when wearing some of your most valuable pieces.
