Our founders, Bob and Gloria, would travel to Japan to select husks of pearls by hand — our entire journey into retail began with buying and selling them. Six decades later, we work with some of the best artisans in the pearl business. When you hand us your strand, you're handing it to a family that started with pearls.

Why restringing matters
Pearl necklaces are strung on silk thread, knotted between each pearl — and that thread is exposed to dirt and grease that deteriorate it over time. Regular restringing prevents your necklace from breaking at an inopportune moment. If you wear your pearls often, consider restringing every two years; otherwise, every five years is recommended for maintenance, durability, and security. Necklaces, bracelets, and even multi-strand pieces are all welcome.
